Rare Space is where we bring together and celebrate the creative and cultural life of Rare Dementia Support (RDS) members, both in person and online
Rare Space combines individual stories, group projects, creative research and activity suggestions, hoping to inspire creativity and reflection within the RDS community and beyond. If you have ideas or would like to get involved, please get in touch at contact@raredementiasupport.org
The National Brain Appeal are delighted to have received funding of £213,000 from The Linbury Trust for an RDS-led three-year Rare Space Cultural Programme, which started in September 2024. The aim of the programme is to define and express the ‘cultural life’ of Rare Dementia Support for its members, team and community. It is designed to enable more people affected by a rare dementia diagnosis to engage in creative activities with a view to helping them continue to live meaningful lives, and experience joy and connection.
Please select one of the projects or stories below to hear more about our partnership activities the sorts of creative activities RDS members are involved with.
Rare Space is a service for, and created with RDS members, funded by The National Brain Appeal. You can sign up to become a member of Rare Dementia Support here, and we will be updating this page with news and more ways you can get involved in the future.
